Rent a Vine - "Be a Vintner Yourself"
Purbach on Lake Neusiedl not only presents one prominent vintner after another, you can also personally turn your hand to the grapes and phylloxera. Those interested can rent 100 vines in the best location for an entire season.
This brings one to the reality of the vintner's work on six dates and the reward of 100 bottles of your "own" wine with a personal label.

Guided Wine Tour
On foot, by bicycle or with the bus through the Neusiedl Lake wine region! A visit to two or three top firms with the expert wine guide and vintner Reinhold Schwarz from "Kloster am Spitz" in Purbach. Information is given about winegrowing and the sensory aspects by an expert and a "wine seminar" is undertaken on a tour of the wine estates. Buildings and cultural memorials are visited on request.
Provided by the firms: tasting of their current production, samples of about six to eight wines and wine-estate presentation. Expert discussion, wine trips for one to seven days available.

The Purbach Cellar Course
Three types of wine cellar - from the Middle Ages to the modern age. Tasting in every cellar and a guided tour through the historic town centre - winegrower's snack in the loveliest cellar lane in Austria (50 historic cellars in a row).
